The theme day, "What really annoys you in your city"
This is the inside of Kyoto Station and built in 1990s but like the architecture in post modernism style, in fashion from 1970s to 1980s. Now this kind of architecture is just a dinosaur.
This was decided by design competition and talented architects worldwide joined in the competition. But in fact the design was decided under the table. The competition was merely nominal.
It is the dark side of Kyoto....

in this topic you are the expert Macky..but reading your description I expected something more brutal and ugly. Actually I like this building:)
That is great, Great pick. How can I disagree with you. That is most annoying thing in Kyoto, that's it.
Annoying!! Brutalistic architecture has no place in a rich, steep-in-history city like Kyoto. Look how much material was used just to cover the roof...really annoying!! :-(
Yes, the antithesis of the beauty that is the other side of Kyoto!
