Something that is about to disappear soon
This is a traditional house in Kyoto and this types of house is about to disappear.
There are many houses like this in the middle of Kyoto, but now tall apartments are increasing.
The major reasons is that less people can make this type of houses and that this is very expensive, I'd think.
Some day the traditional city of Kyoto might be the city like the modern city of Tokyo...

Are you sure macky?... that such houses will disappear?? I'll be so soooo sad:( i love Kyoto for such neat and beautiful architectures, I really dun wish it to be gone...

To be exact, some of them will have remained. So you can see them from now on. But such houses won't be made again...
Found KyotoDailyPhoto by happy chance. Your images are quite lovely - each one a beautiful story of the moment. In following their timeline something else happens for me that other images of Kyoto have failed to do...they take me into that lovely place again.
