Japanese sword, Katana in Japanese

Japanese sword, Katana in Japanese, Kyoto
This is a part of Japanese sword for Samurai, a warrior, and made some hundreds ago. Being put on the silky cloth makes the sword look more sharp. Now such a sword is not used for original purpose anymore and is only displayed at Tokonoma, an alcove of the guest room, to appreciate its beauty.

Hola Macky =O))

Nice photo, all in blue!!! =O)).

Some days ago, I found a shop where sell them. I don't like weapons, but I should say that Katanas are art's jewellery.

Have a nice day Mack =O))!!!

Thanks for the comments and enjoying this photo!!
This kind of sword is very sharp and after some thin cloth, such as silk, is thrown away in the air, falls down to the edge of the sword and touch on the edge, then the cloth get just split in two.
