Hi Macky
What does the calligraphy say?
I've been following your Kyoto and Tokyo blogs, I love them - thanks so much! I'm visiting Japan in March so you are giving me lots of ideas for things I'd like to see.

Thanks for the comment, clare!

Unfortunately, I, like most Japanese, cannot read it because these are written in a rather informal way...

Anyway, I'd be happy if the blogs will give you some information. I hope your travel will be sucessful!! By the way, if you would like to see cherry blossoms, I recommend that you go there in early April.

Hi Macky
We'll still be in Japan until the 5th April so I really hope we will get to see some cherry blossom!
Thanks for the tip! Clare

clare,

If you wil be still in Kyoto in April, I advise you to go and see the Miyako odori, cherry dance, where maiko and geisha, working in Gion, with kimono are dancing on the stage and rather excellent.
