Maple leaves on mosses

Koto-in, Daitokuji Temple, Kyoto sightseeing
Some maple leaves on velvety mosses.

Mosses are green all the year; on the other hand, maple leaves turn to red or yellow and fall onto the mosses.

An interesting contrast.

That patch of moss..not grass?...and the leafs are lovely. Like to walk on it bare-foot.

Very restrained, very sensitive, beautiful expression of autumn.

Thank you for your comments!!

Actually it is moss but look like grass, as w said. Mosses add the soften beauty to the garden.
